The terrace: the Gulf of Naples a step from your table
On the top floor of Hotel Continental, on Piazza della Vittoria, the restaurant terrace looks over the Gulf of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the Sorrento coast.
On the top floor of Hotel Continental, on Piazza della Vittoria, the restaurant terrace opens onto the Gulf of Naples.
A glass balustrade stands in front of the tables, and beyond it only the sea. Vesuvius on the left, ships coming in and out of the bay ahead, the roofs of Sorrento and the coast on the right.
The light keeps changing. At lunch the sea is deep blue; towards evening it turns gold, then pink, and finally the lights of Naples appear on the horizon while the terrace lamps come on over the tables.
That is why we suggest arriving early: a table by the glass at sunset is the most requested seat in the house.
